Do You Need An English Placement Test?
If you meet the criteria below, it means you will need the English Placement Test:
- You are coming from another country. Your first step would be to contact the YMCA to receive a CLB assessment prior to registration with us. You will need level 7 or higher in all categories. (If your levels are lower than 7 in any of the four categories, you will need to register for English as a Second Language Classes).
- You come from a non-English speaking background.
- You have been out of school for some time.
- You wish to study at a higher curriculum level.
